LOVELAND, Colo.—Two people were accidentally shot near Allenspark, but neither appeared to be seriously injured.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s office says the gunfire occurred about 4 p.m. Saturday in the Johnny Park area.
The office says two adults and two children had gone up to the area to do some target shooting, in two separate groups.
One victim was shot in the abdomen, while the other was hit in the buttocks. The office says both were hospitalized.
Apparently neither group knew the other was there until after the shooting.
The names of the victims have not been released, and officials didn’t say whether the victims were the adults or the children.
