Light snow isn’t expected to amount to much in the metro region, as the last of a series of Pacific storms move across the metro region tonight and Thursday morning, according to forecasters.

Less than a half inch is possible in the city, but morning before the precipitation moves out and temperatures warm into the mid-40s, according to the National Weather Service office in Boulder.

The foothills west of Denver could see a total 2 to 5 inches, while 1 to 3 inches is possible along the Palmer Divide in northern El Paso County, western Elbert County and eastern Douglas County.

The central mountains get hit heavier, and could add 5 inches by Thursday afternoon, according to forecasters.

The mountains could also add more snow this weekend.

The National Weather Service expects sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 50s Friday and Saturday in the metro region.

Some chance of snow returns Sunday night, after temperatures in the 40s that afternoon, according to the forecast.

Metro area temperatures in the 50s are expected at the beginning of next week.
