CANCÚN, Mexico — Chinese central bank Gov. Zhou Xiaochuan said Monday that “too much noise” coming from U.S. lawmakers regarding China’s yuan isn’t helpful in economic-policy discussions between the countries.
“We can discuss this issue as to what kind of global policy combinations could help each other,” Zhou told reporters on the sidelines of the Inter-America Development Bank’s annual meeting. “But we don’t think too much noise is helpful.”
