The Denver District Attorney’s office today formally filed 20 new felony counts against a man who allegedly pretended to be a lawyer to steal more than $400,000 from a dozen people he had represented.

Tullio Andrew Ragusin, 52, faces 11 counts of criminal impersonation and nine counts of theft. All of the charges are felonies.

His clients claimed he never performed legal services he was paid for, did so incorrectly or did so inadequately, according to the case against him.

Ragusin has been held in the Denver Jail since January, when he was arrested on similar charges. His bond in that case was $100,000. The new charges also carry a bond of an additional $100,000, according to the Denver District Attorney’s office.
