FORT COLLINS — A fire in Fort Collins that injured a dad and his son started in a garage and has been ruled accidental by fire investigators.
The father, Josh Viney, was treated at a local hospital and released. His son, Trenton Viney, was airlifted first to Children’s Hospital in Aurora and then on to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Sacramento, Calif.
The fire broke out about noon at their home in the 900 block of Camelot Court, according to the Poudre Fire Authority.
Gasoline or vapors from a portable container made contact with an operating space heater and sparked the blaze, the fire department said.
