DENVER—A former worker for the city of Denver has been sentenced to six years in prison for embezzling more than $600,000 from the Denver Department of Human Services.

Forty-five-year-old Ivan Guerrero also was ordered on Monday to pay $797,011 in restitution and $3,022 in extradition costs.
