A semi carrying crushed cars rolled over on Santa Fe Drive early this morning, causing a mess that closed a portion of the road during the early hours of the morning rush.
A spokesperson with the Denver Police Department says the flatbed semi overturned near the interchange with Interstate 25 around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, spilling the crushed cars across the roadway. That forced the closure of the southbound lanes of Santa Fe Drive and both ramps from I-25 to southbound Santa Fe Drive.
The roadway was reopened around 6:30 a.m.
Denver Police say no one was injured in the accident. It is unclear if the driver of the semi will be ticketed.
