The new digs of arts mainstay El Centro Su Teatro are very busy indeed. On Thursday night, “The Xicanindie Film Festival XII” launches with a Colorado premiere of “La Mission.”

Written and directed by Peter Bratt, the San Francisco-set drama stars brother Benjamin Bratt (“Law & Order) as Che Rivera, a tough who learns his beloved son is gay.

“La Mission” is just one of the films at this year’s fest delving into issues of masculinity with a fresh perspective.

The fest runs Thursday through Sunday, El Centro Su Teatro, 721 Santa Fe Drive.

Tickets $10; $30 festival pass.
