Denver police early Friday morning arrested a 20-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting two men Monday in Aurora.
Steven Earl Johnston was taken into custody in Denver, said Shannon Lucy, Aurora Police Department spokeswoman.
He is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated robbery.
Jarell Jordan Rivers, 18, of Aurora, and Paul Maurice Chatman, 28, of Denver, were shot dead Monday evening in a car that was parked at the Sommerset Gardens apartment complex near East Mississippi Avenue and South Blackhawk Street.
Police believe Johnston and the two victims had agreed to meet and that the shooting was not random.
Johnston was arrested in the 900 block of Osceola Street in Denver.
