DENVER—University of Colorado officials are planning $22 million more in reductions and other budget-balancing measures expected to eliminate a total of 339 positions across the four-campus system.
The proposed measures will be discussed at the April 22 Board of Regents meeting. The university has already approved $29 million in cuts this school year to help make up a $50 million decrease in state funding.
Roughly 200 positions were eliminated this school year and regents will consider eliminating 138 more in the 2010-11 school year.
The regents are expected to vote on the second round of cuts in June.
Last week, CU approved increasing in-state tuition for undergraduate students by 7 percent to 9 percent. Out-of-state undergraduates will pay 2 percent to 5 percent more starting this fall.
