Colorado State troopers are investigating how a pedestrian was hit and killed this afternoon by a semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 near the Lookout Mountain exit.
No details about the pedestrian were released following the collision on the eastbound side of the interstate at 5:46 p.m.
It was not immediately known whether the pedestrian was on the shoulder or stepped into traffic, said Trooper Nate Reid.
Traffic in the area was slowed for the investigation, but the interstate was not closed, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
