Police are investigating the death of a man found at a Denver bar.
Denver police were called to the City Pub, 3575 S. Yosemite St., around 1:40 a.m. today on a report of “large fight,” said Sonny Jackson, Denver Police Department spokesman.
When police arrived, they found an “unresponsive” man who was taken to Swedish Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Jackson said.
The death is under investigation as a homicide. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner is expected to perform an autopsy today to determine the cause of death, Jackson said.
The name of the man was not released.
Some people who were at the bar when the fight broke out fled before police arrived, Jackson said.
Investigators would like to talk to any witnesses who left the scene. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Denver police at 720 913-6037.
