Troubled Lindsay Lohan has caused controversy by posing with a gun to her mouth in a photo posted to her Twitter page.

The disturbing photo follows a week of battles with her father, who first barged into her home, then threatened to seek a conservatorship over the scandal-plagued actress.

The 23-year-old actress posted the picture showing her pouting seductively for the camera with the pistol resting on her lips.

The photograph is one of a set taken by photographer Tyler Shields for his new book “The Dirty Side of Glamor,” London’s Daily Mail reports.

In other pictures posted on Tyler’s website, Lindsay is seen pretending to choke the photographer while holding the gun, and laying on her back with her legs doubled over.

One of Lindsay’s fans thought it crossed the line.

One tweet scolded: ‘Try to keep it classy, not more softcore porn with some guy draped over you.’

Lindsay responded: ‘It’s not soft core porn hunny, it’s called ART.’

Tyler has previously done photoshoots with stars including Carmen Electra and “Star Trek” actor Zachary Quinto.

He wrote on his website: ‘Everyone has an idea of Lindsay Lohan and last night I had the pleasure of working with her.

‘She is a huge art lover and simply wanted to create some and that is exactly what we did! This is just a taste more to come.

Rielle Hunter told all about her affair — and baby — with former presidential candidate John Edwards in her interview yesterday on the Oprah Winfrey Show, including the information that they never used birth control.

Hunter, 45, recounts how Edwards’ cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth slowly learned the full extent of his affair.

Although Elizabeth encouraged the North Carolina senator to come clean about the affair to ABC News’ Bob Woodruff in 2008, she actually didn’t know “the whole truth,” Hunter tells Winfrey.

Later in her chat with Winfrey, according to Entertainment Tonight, Hunter denies that she’s a homewrecker. “I don’t believe I wrecked his home. … A lot of people bought into the myth of the marriage, the Edwards marriage.”

And when she became pregnant with Quinn in 2007, Edwards was “very gracious” about the news, Hunter said. “He said, ‘Whatever you decide to do, I fully support you.’ … He had a lot of issues with the timing.” She also admits to Winfrey that she and Edwards never used birth control.

John, 56, and Elizabeth, 60, recently separated after 33 years of marriage. They had four children together (eldest son Wade died in a 1996 car accident.) After two years of denials, Edwards admitted in January that Quinn is his daughter.

The young man Sandra Bullock took on as family in “The Blind Side” responded happily to news that she has adopted a baby boy from New Orleans.

“I am truly overjoyed for Sandra – what amazing news and so special that she has been able to keep this time private between her and the baby! Just as she played an exceptional mother in ‘The Blind Side,’ her caring nature will make her an amazing mother to Louis!” co-star Quinton Aaron wrote to People, on his screen mother Sandra Bullock’s new son, 3½-month-old Louis.

Bullock won her first Oscar for “The Blind Side.”

From Mrs. Tom Cruise to first lady.

Katie Holmes has signed on to play former first lady Jackie Kennedy in the History Channel’s first scripted series.

Holmes, 31, will star opposite Greg Kinnear (“Baby Mama,” “Little Miss Sunshine”), who will take on the role of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, in the eight-hour miniseries, “The Kennedys,” the channel announced this week.

The cast is rounded out by Barry Pepper, who will play JFK’s brother, Robert, and Tom Wilkinson, who takes on the role of patriarch Joe Kennedy Sr.

Joel Surnow, creator of “24,” is set to produce the series, which will focus on the early years of JFK’s presidency before he was assassinated in 1963.

During her reign in the Oval office, Jacqueline Kennedy was considered one of the most stylish women in the world. The former debutante stood quietly by her husband during his personal and professional ups and downs.

“The Kennedys” is set to be air on the History Channel in 2011.
