Two men who failed to show up in court for sentencing on convictions of accessory to perjury, and contempt of court, in the Darrent Williams case are in custody.

Mario Anderson and Kataina Jackson-Keeling “reportedly” showed up late Monday in Denver District Court and were taken into custody on a failure to appear warrant, according to a media release from the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

They are scheduled to appear today in Denver District Court at 1:30 p.m.

The pair were prosecuted after they refused to testify against Willie D. Clark, who was convicted of killing the late Denver Broncos cornerback.

Prosecutors say the two also lied to grand jurors who were investigating the Williams murder and denied they were riding in a white Chevrolet Tahoe during the drive-by shooting that killed Williams.

Anderson, 23, and Jackson-Keeling, 21, pleaded guilty to the charges last month. The men were scheduled to surrender Monday at 1:30 p.m. and begin serving a year in jail.
