SPARKS, Nev. — Cleanup crews in protective suits and masks have removed hundreds of pounds of rotting meat from a maggot-filled trailer in Nevada after it was abandoned in a bankruptcy dispute with a closed butcher shop.
Washoe County health officials say they still have not determined who is to blame for the mess and stench that started brewing in the hot sun in Sparks after the power was shut off to the cooling unit a few weeks ago.
