LONGMONT, Colo.—The pilot of a single-seat biplane has been treated for minor injuries after the plane crash-landed in a farm field outside Longmont.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Department says the plane lost power while taking off from a private airstrip Saturday and landed nose-first in a plowed field. The plane flipped and suffered significant damage.
Deputies say the pilot, Carl Buck of Niwot, was treated at a Longmont hospital.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
