KIOWA, Colo.—Investigators say a Colorado teacher who was found dead last month had a plastic bag over his head and his hands tied behind his back.
Authorities on Thursday revealed the circumstances of 52-year-old Randy Wilson’s death. His body was found on June 14 near his car in an Elbert County field about 30 miles east of Denver.
Officials say he died of asphyxiation.
Wilson taught at Kiowa High School. He was last seen alive on June 13 at a gas station about 25 miles north of Kiowa.
Investigators who reviewed surveillance video want to speak to a couple who were at the station the same time as Wilson because they may be the last people to see him alive.
Investigators went to Washington state last week to interview possible witnesses.
