Three men held seven people hostage Tuesday, beating six of them and squeezing off shots from a handgun, during a robbery in the Applewood neighborhood in Jefferson County.
No one was hit during the gunfire, and the Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, which occurred about 1 a.m. in the 2000 block of Beech Court. Investigators have not said what was stolen.
The intruders face possible charges of attempted homicide, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, assault and menacing.
