Incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Betsy Markey outraised Republican challenger Cory Gardner in the second quarter, early reports from the campaigns show. Both seek election to the 4th Congressional District.
Markey, who has raised a total of $2.2 million in the 2010 election cycle, reported that she has more than $1.5 million cash on hand.
State Rep. Gardner, who’s raised more than $1.2 million to date, has more than $762,000 on hand.
