A natural- gas drilling company is getting ready to drill new wells near the towns of Silt and New Castle.
Denver-based Antero Resources plans to drill 284 wells on 6,500 acres, most of it on public land.
The Bureau of Land Management says it approved the project’s environmental study Friday. The public will be able to review the plan on the BLM’s website.
