Angelina Jolie has personally requested that Russian spy Anna Chapman be invited to the Moscow premier of her movie “Salt,” according to the New York Post.
The newspaper says that the movie’s local promoters are trying to locate Chapman, who is presumably being interrogated by her superiors along with the nine other deported agents. Her exact location is not known.
Moscow film promoters reportedly sent an invitation to Chapman’s last home address in Russia.
In “Salt,” Jolie plays a CIA agent suspected of being a double agent, so having a real spy at the premier would bring a tidal wave of publicity for the film.
Jolie’s timing couldn’t be better.
According to the Post, Chapman is secretly shopping for a $250,000 media deal and demanding the money be paid into the Swiss bank account of an associate.
The redhead reportedly is hoping to net a fortune from the story of how she infiltrated American society and has asked a London-based friend to discreetly reach out to the media for a deal.
Chapman hopes to get around rules in the U.S. and Russia banning her from profiting from her story by channeling the money from any deal to a friend, sources say.
One said, “Anna has lost her income. She has had to leave her real-estate business, and won’t be getting any more money from the Russian government. She knows a media deal is her best way of earning money. It has even been suggested to her that she might pose for Playboy.
Lindsay Lohan received final visits before she’s due to begin serving jail time.
Her ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, made another visit to see the troubled actress on the eve of her incarceration today.
Lohan has received daily visits from her mother, sister Ali, 16, and her DJ ex at the rehabilitation facility Pickford Lofts in West Hollywood where she has been staying.
But one person who won’t be checking up on the troubled star is her father, after Lindsay made her feelings clear about him via Twitter.
She wrote: ‘I don’t want Michael Lohan Sr anywhere near me, no matter where I am. I am in a great place and he only brings negativity in my world.
‘I don’t want my ex-father anywhere near me no matter where I am. He is crazy and scares me,” she wrote.
On the final weekend before starting her 90-day jail stint, the “Mean Girls” actress was visited by Ronson at the ‘sober living home’ in West Hollywood, London’s Daily Mail reported.
Pickford Lofts was founded by Los Angeles attorney Robert Shapiro, who is reportedly Lindsay’s new attorney.
It was founded by Shapiro after he lost his son Brent, to substance abuse.
And, a celebrity beach update:
You’d think Miami Heat-bound star LeBron James wouldn’t need more turquoise water and white sand, but over the weekend the famous basketball player left his new Florida home for the warm waves of the Bahamas.
The star athlete, 25, was spotted frolicking in the surf with his long-time girlfriend and high school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson, 23, London’s Daily Mail reports.
In a note of irony, LeBron sported a torso tattoo with the word, ‘loyalty’ despite Cleveland fans feeling betrayed by his move to Miami.
He also enjoyed a stroll on the sand with Savannah, with whom he has two children, LeBron James Jr., 5, and Bryce Maximus James, 3.
Meanwhile, Kate Hudson, who’s hanging with one of Britain’s most famous rockers, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, spent her summer vacation in St. Tropez.
The 31-year-old actress, who recently started dating Bellamy, reportedly looked happy and excited (well, yeah,) as she relaxed on a boat with friends in the French town.
Not to be outdone, Paris Hilton, who had a recent brush with the law over marijuana, headed straight for a luxury yacht in the Med with her pals to get in some serious sunbathing.
The heiress and her sister Nicky continued their summer world tour in style and were spotted soaking up the rays in Sardinia.
The 100-foot-long motor cruiser has its own swimming pool, hot tub, movie theatre, gym even a recording studio.
An auction house selling Lucille Ball memorabilia says it is returning the actress’ lifetime achievement awards to her daughter.
Heritage Auction Galleries says a deal reached Saturday will return the awards to Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, Ball’s daughter with first husband Desi Arnaz.
A sale of dozens of other Ball-related memorabilia will happen Saturday. Items up for bid include a Rolls Royce and love letters to second husband Gary Morton.
The deal ends a legal fight between Luckinbill and Susie Morton, who married Gary Morton after Ball’s death in 1989.
A judge agreed to stop the auction Friday but imposed a high bond Luckinbill couldn’t meet.
She has said the awards will be displayed in a museum honoring her mother.
