Summer’s the perfect time for a bike ride. If you have a bike, that is.
Take that old two-wheeler that’s collecting dust in the garage and give it to Boulder-based Community Cycles during its four-day used-bike collection drive from July 29 through Aug. 1.
The bikes will be refurbished and recycled into the community through the organization’s Earn-A-Bike and Fleet programs.
Some bikes also are refurbished by volunteers and sold at annual events such as the CU Back to School Bike Sale and at the Holiday Bike Giveaway. All bikes eventually are used to fund the nonprofit’s advocacy efforts for safe biking in Boulder County.
