Dragon Boat Festival
This weekend, Sloan’s Lake Park (at Sheridan Boulevard and West 25th Avenue) hosts the 10th annual Dragon Boat Festival. What this means to you: dragon-boat races, music, dancing, arts, crafts and, most important, the Taste of Asia Food Court, where you’ll find Lemongrass Chicken Drums, Korean Beef Short Ribs, Tuvar Red Lentil Dal Bowl, Yakitori, Pad Thai, Mango Shrimp Salad, Vietnamese Lemongrass Beef and Pandan Leaf Waffle. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
Happy Birthday, Amelia Earhart
Famous for her long-distance flying prowess, Earhart was the biggest star of her day; hundreds of thousands showed up for the ticker-tape parade that welcomed her home from her solo transatlantic flight in 1928. Earhart was lost over the Pacific during a 1937 attempt to circumnavigate the globe. The aviatrix would be 113 on Saturday.

1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur
1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
