AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—The Air Force is honoring former military personnel with a Retiree Appreciation Day at the Air Force Academy.
Saturday’s event includes medical checks for blood pressure and cholesterol, information booths and help with understanding Tricare, a military health care program.
Lt. Gen. Michael Gould, superintendent of the academy, will speak. Representatives of Peterson Air Force Base and Schriever Air Force Base, both nearby, will also speak.
Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Leo Castro, one of the event coordinators, says retirees from all branches of the military are welcome.
