BOULDER, Colo.—A vandal hid his or her handiwork in plain sight—on the Boulder County Justice Center sign that attorneys, judges and police pass by daily.
Someone, possibly using a set of stencils and white paint, added a set of quotation marks around the word “justice” on the main sign. Some passersby say the graffiti showed up late Saturday night, but no one working at the justice center noticed it for days.
Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett said he wasn’t amused when he saw the vandalism for the first time Wednesday. He says he’s proud of the work at the center and doesn’t think it’s appropriate to suggest that it’s not justice.
Garnett thinks a disgruntled patron of the court system could be to blame.
