A man possibly 60 years old posed as a truancy officer Aug. 12 and asked a 24-year-old woman for identification in an Arvada parking lot, police said Tuesday.
Jefferson County schools do not use truancy officers, Arvada police said. The department advised anyone who comes in contact with the man claiming to be a truancy officer to notify local police immediately.
