A 24-year-old Denver man already facing a murder charge in the death of his girlfriend also tried to hire someone to kill a potential witness, according to a new charge against Robert Walters.
The Denver district attorney’s office on Friday added a felony charge against Walters of solicitation to commit first-degree murder.
He faces a first-degree murder charge in the November 2008 death of 22-year-old Brittney Brashers, his girlfriend at the time.
Prosecutors say he drove into parked cars in the 100 block of South Yuma Street to stage an accident to cover up injuries to Brasher he had caused, which led to her death.
