Aurora police and the FBI are asking the public to help identify a bank robber who struck Tuesday.
The robbery happened about 12:40 p.m. at the U.S. Bank at 2990 S. Peoria St., according to an FBI news release.
The robber demanded money, received it and fled.
The FBI described the robber as a black man about 25 years old and about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds. He has sideburns and some facial hair on his chin.
Anyone with information on the bank robbery or a possible suspect is asked to call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171. Tipsters can remain anonymous and earn up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest by calling Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). Kieran Nicholson, The Denver Post
