LAS VEGAS, N.M. — Jerrod Doucet had two touchdown receptions as Colorado Mines began Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play with a 49-21 victory over New Mexico Highlands.
The Cowboys (0-3, 0-1) trailed only 17-15 after a 94-kickoff return for a touchdown by Kevon Williams to begin the second half.
From there, the Orediggers (2-1, 1-0) took over. Trevor Florendo added a 5-yard TD run for a 39-15 lead with 9:16 left in the game.
Doucet finished with 11 receptions for 158 yards and the two TDs. Clay Garcia passed for 345 yards and three TDs.

SILVER CITY, N.M. — Rich Rodriguez booted a 52-yard field goal with 18 seconds left to lift the Skyhawks (1-1, 1-0).
Fort Lewis quarterback Tim Jenkins was 35-of-49 for 425 yards and three touchdowns. His main targets were Justin Johnson, who had nine catches for 194 yards and a TD, and Doyle Bode, seven for 103 and a TD.
Quarterback Chris Voller passed for 303 yards for Western New Mexico (1-2, 0-1).

KEARNEY, Neb. — Jake Spitzlberger had two TD passes and the Antelopes (2-1, 1-0) shut down the Mavericks (0-2, 0-1).
