COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police arrested a 37-year-old man they say tried to set a house on fire while relatives were inside during a family dispute.
Police say Sergio Marin used gasoline to ignite a stack of wood next to the Colorado Springs home after a family fight. The Colorado Springs Gazette reports that Marin’s relatives put the fire out before police arrived.
No injuries were reported.
Marin was arrested Friday night and booked into the El Paso County jail to be investigated on attempted first-degree arson. It was unclear what the family was fighting about.
