Legend’s four-game victory over Rock Canyon (25-17, 25-18, 23-25, 25-18) all but secured a playoff spot for the Titans, playing their first season in Class 5A.
The Titans jumped out to quick leads in the first two games and cruised to easy victories, 25-17 and 25-18 respectfully.
Rock Canyon, who was one game back coming into the match, did not go down easy. The Jaguars rallied late inthe third game to extend the match with a 25-23 victory.
Coach Katie Winsor’s Titans responded in a big way in the fourth game, behind the play of juniors Danielle Grever and Madi McKay.
Rock Canyon received solid play from Lauren Hahn, with seven kills, and Sierra Andersen added eight digs. The Jaguars will play Heritage (2-6, 4-11) on Oct 19.
The Titans were led by Jamie Braydal, who had 20 kills. Emily Baird chipped in with 19. Defensively, Madi Mckay had 21 digs. Next up for the Titans (4-5, 8-9) is a trip to ThunderRidge (1-7, 3-13) next Tuesday.
