Memorial service scheduled for Denver novelist, former Post staffer Chance Conner

A celebration of the life and work of Chance Conner, a former Denver Post staff writer, will be held next month in Denver.

Conner, 58, died earlier this month in his Denver home.

He wrote for the Post from 1991 until April 1997. Conner had his first novel published last year and was editing his second book, part of a planned trilogy, at the time of his death.

Conner’s career in journalism spanned more than 30 years and included work at the Colorado Daily, Boulder Daily Camera, Rocky Mountain News, USA Today, Centre Daily Times and Winter Park Manifest.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 20 at the Washington Park Chapel, 1001 S. Pearl St., Denver.
