A 33-year-old Erie woman has been ticketed on suspicion of child abuse and reckless driving after Boulder police said she threw a full cup of water at another car during a road-rage incident, and splashed a toddler in the back seat.
Marie Bass is suspected of pulling out in front of another driver at the intersection of Arapahoe Avenue and 75th Street on Oct. 15, then continuing to drive erratically and dangerously, according to Boulder police Cmdr. Kurt Weiler. Bass exchanged words “that weren’t pleasant” with the other driver — who had three children, ages 7, 5 and 2, in the car — near Arapahoe and 55th Street, Weiler said.
Bass is accused of repeatedly slamming on her brakes in front of the other vehicle, and at the intersection of Arapahoe and 47th Street, an officer saw Bass throw a full cup of liquid at the other vehicle, Weiler said.
Some of the water hit the 2-year-old, who was in the back seat with the window slightly down, Weiler said.
