COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs investigators say a 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting two children while he was baby-sitting them.
Colorado Springs police say officers arrested Anthony Thomas Ganter Wednesday at a probation office in El Paso County after receiving tips about possible distribution of child pornography on the Internet. The tips came from the national Center of Missing and Exploited Children.
Authorities say Ganter was previously convicted of sexual assault on a child and was supposed to have registered as a sex offender. They believe there may be as many as 10 victims who haven’t come forward.
The Gazette reports that he is being held in county jail on $1 million bond.
