MINNEAPOLIS — An immigrant-rights group says a handful of Denver-based Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants in the Minneapolis area have fired dozens of employees this week, apparently after an audit by immigration officials.
The Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee says on its website that it has confirmed more than 50 firings at Chipotle restaurants around the Minneapolis area.
In a statement, Chipotle told The Associated Press that it is fully cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in connection with a document request.
