DENVER—A prominent proponent of education reform is speaking in Denver.
Former D.C. Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee is set to speak to the Donnell-Kay Foundation on Monday.
Rhee has been featured on “Oprah” and in Newsweek magazine for her aggressive efforts to improve schools.
She stepped down from D.C.’s schools in October after a polarizing three years in that job. Hundreds of teachers and principals were fired.
Rhee now heads a school improvement group called StudentsFirst that aims to raise $1 billion.
