Trivia time

Polling
After the Broncos’ recent debacle, The Denver Post asked fans to select the worst loss of the season. With more than 10,500 votes cast, the worst defeat, by far, was the 59-14 home loss to the Raiders. Nearly 53 percent chose that game as the low point.
Second on the list (32.2 percent) were those who fear that the worst was yet to come. How can it possibly get worse?
FYI, last Sunday’s 43-13 at Arizona garnered 13.7 percent of the vote from the disgruntled electorate.
Quotable
This comes from the Seattle Times’ Dwight Perry:
Q: What do you call New York Jets staffers in tandem along the sideline?
A: The Trips Formation.
Reader’s rant
“Not sure how Melo has handled this with ‘class.’ Is it because he didn’t put on a spectacle like his counterpart LeBron with another overly-publicized announcement? If anything, Melo owes it to the fans to state exactly where he stands. We have spent far too much time, energy and money supporting him over the last seven years to be left in the dark. Go run to the big city, Melo. But you’ll never receive the unconditional support you received here.”

In case you missed it
The Minnesota Vikings might be making noise about moving to Los Angeles if they don’t a new stadium, but that didn’t stop them from asking for help from their diehard fans.
The team is asking volunteers to help dig out the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium in time for Monday night’s Vikings game with the Chicago Bears. The university is hosting the game because the Metrodome roof collapsed during last week’s blizzard and won’t be fixed in time.
According to The Associated Press, there are 5-foot drifts in some areas of the stadium.
The university predicts it will take shoveling volunteers every day from Thursday through Sunday to complete the job. The school said it will even provide the shovels if necessary.
