Jazzercise for Seniors in Boulder
Begins Tuesday & Wednesday: The City of Boulder’s Senior Services is offering Jazzercise for older adults at two locations. The East Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. beginning Tuesday. Saturday: The 15th annual 5K Walk/ Run is open to all ages and levels and is part of the Lafayette Quaker Oatmeal Festival. Winter Meltdown Challenge
Registration deadline: Saturday: The Lafayette Recreation Department is sponsoring an eight-week community challenge to lose weight and form healthy fitness habits. Register online or in person at the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center by Saturday. There are two participation levels to choose from including a Nutrition Only Level and a Fitness/Nutrition Level. Sunday, Feb. 6, March 6: Includes the East West Resorts 5K Quest and Dogma Athletica 10K divisions. There is also a snowshoe series training plan for participants. Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Series
March 5: Registration discounts are available until Jan. 19 for this Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure benefit to be held at the Frisco Nordic Center in Frisco. Snowshoers of all ages and levels are invited to raise money in support of breast cancer education and research. Tubbs Romp to Stomp invites young people to get involved with the Lil Romper program for kids ages 6-12; the Lil Bitty Rompers, up to age 5; and, new for 2011, the Lil Romper Dash, a snowshoe sprint for kids.
