Women with partners who do not look quintessentially masculine are more likely to fantasize about more masculine-looking men when they are fertile, according to a new study co-authored by a Boulder scientist.

The same study — published in the journal Evolution and Human Behavior — shows that a man’s intelligence has no effect on making him seem more or less masculine to his ovulating partner.
