Wadsworth Boulevard will be closed both directions under the U.S. 285 bridge tonight to allow for bridge construction.

Closures in both the northbound and southbound lanes will begin at 7 p.m. and all lanes will be closed at 9 p.m., according to a press release from the Colorado Department of Transportation. There will also be some lane closures on U.S. 285.

All lanes will reopen by 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Drivers on southbound Wadsworth will take westbound U.S. 285 to Kipling Parkway, where they will return to eastbound U.S. 285 to access Wadsworth. Drivers heading north will take eastbound U.S. 285 to Sheridan Boulevard and meet westbound U.S. 285 to access Wadsworth.

One lane of westbound U.S. 285 will be close starting at 7 p.m. and crews may close all westbound lanes at 9 p.m. to create more room for equipment in which case drivers will be detoured via the on and off-ramps at Wadsworth.

One lane of eastbound U.S. 285 will be closed from 7 p.m. tonight.

Crews will install bridge girders as part of a $40.1 million improvement project on U.S. 285 between Federal Boulevard and Kipling Street.
