DENVER—The injury-riddled Cleveland Cavaliers will have only eight players available against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.
Cavs coach Byron Scott said he’s never coached a game with so few players on the bench. But with Ryan Hollins missing the game due to a death in the family and a rash of injuries, Scott is going to have fewer choices.
“Hopefully we can stay out of foul trouble,” Scott said with a grin.
Cleveland will be without Daniel Gibson (ankle), Anthony Parker (lower back), Anderson Varejao (ankle/foot), Joey Graham (quad), Leon Powe (knee) and Christian Eyenga (ankle).
Scott said Gibson and Eyenga will dress and sit on the bench, but more than likely wouldn’t play.
