Enrollment at Adams State College jumped to 3,421 for the current semester, an increase of 7.2 percent, giving the Alamosa campus its seventh straight semester of growth.
The unprecedented continual growth is largely due to students staying at Adams State once they’ve enrolled, and to more students taking advantage of the college’s online degree programs, school officials said.
The nursing program and the online MBA program saw some of the most significant enrollment hikes.
The campus has built and remodeled facilities, and added academic and sports programs to its catalogue in anticipation of the growth, Michael Mumper, vice president for enrollment, said in a statement released by the college Friday.
