SAN DIEGO — D.J. Gay scored 15 points and keyed a 21-3 run in the first half that carried No. 6 San Diego State to an 85-53 victory over Utah on Tuesday night.

Gay, a senior guard, played in his 128th consecutive game, the most in school history. He came up big in the decisive run, which spanned four minutes and helped the Aztecs (24-1, 9-1 Mountain West Conference) go from a 7-6 lead to a 28-9 advantage with 11:32 left before halftime.

San Diego State, which outrebounded the Utes (10-14, 3-7) 50-36, made 9-of-11 shots during the run.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Maya Moore scored 27 points, including several key baskets down the stretch, and the Huskies (23-1, 11-0 Big East) overcame their second halftime deficit of the season to beat the Mountaineers (20-5, 6-5) for the 23rd straight time.

LARAMIE — Aubrey Vandiver had 28 points and 10 rebounds, and Jade Kennedy added 23 points, including a 3-pointer midway through the second half that sparked an 11-3 run for the Cowgirls (18-5, 8-2 Mountain West).
