A pair of alleged carjackers stole a Ford Taurus on the west side of Colorado Springs early Tuesday morning, police said.
According to a report, the theft happened just after 2 a.m. in the 2400 block of Broadway Street. A 22-year-old man and his 24-year-old cousin met a pair of women at a local bar, the police report said, and were going to give them a ride home when the pair of thieves came up to the car and demanded “everything.”
One of the thieves punched the male passenger in the face, telling him to get out of the car. The driver of the white 1997 Ford Taurus, license plate number 788DAX, told police that the other carjacker had a handgun and ordered him out of the vehicle as well.
The two thieves drove off in the car and one of the victims was transported to an area hospital.
During the robbery, the two women left and haven’t been seen, police said. The victims described the females as being hispanic sisters in their early 20s. They each have pierced left eyebrows and three lip piercings. According to the report, the women recently arrived from California and might be named Jessica and Emma.
