SILVERTON, Colo.—A fire in Silverton has damaged a saloon on historic Greene Street.
There were no immediate reports of injuries in the fire Wednesday morning at Pride of the West. Living quarters above the bar were empty at the time.
The building that houses Pride of the West was built in 1901.
The Durango Herald reports the fire appears to have started near the kitchen area.
The saloon was one of the spots snowboarder Shaun White visited while he was training at Silverton Mountain for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
