BOULDER COUNTY — The Boulder County Coroner’s Office on Sunday identified a toddler who drowned in a decorative pond near Boulder on Saturday as 3-year- old Bladyn Vogels.
The boy was found in the pond at a home in the 7600 block of 34th Court at about 2:20 p.m. Saturday by responders from Lefthand Fire Protection District, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said.
Bladyn was not breathing or responsive. He was pronounced dead at Boulder Community Hospital.
The boy and his mother had been visiting relatives in the neighborhood, according to the sheriff. The child had been playing in the relative’s fenced-in yard but found a way out.
