
Basics for Babies
Through Saturday: A Precious Child Inc. and the North Metro Fire District have joined forces to collect baby formula and diapers. Donations may be dropped off at any of the eight North Metro Fire Rescue fire stations, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The final collection point is the Broomfield 9 Health Fair at Broomfield United Methodist Church.
Yoga workshops

Pat’s Run 2011 Colorado Shadow Run
Saturday: Run, walk, cycle and stroll for two laps around the Washington Park lakes, approximately 4.2 miles, for the seventh annual run honoring Pat Tillman. The Pat Tillman Foundation was established in 2004 after the soldier’s death in Afghanistan. Health and wellness lectures
April 19: The Durango Public Library continues its series of health and wellness lectures with Steve Ilg, who will discuss “Sacred Effort: The Journey of a Wholistic Fitness Warrior Athlete.” The series wraps up with “Understanding Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine” with Julie Gwyther of Durango Community Acupuncture, on April 21. Walk for Water on Earth Day
April 22: The staff of TallGrass Aveda Spa and Salon in Evergreen is sponsoring a 3-mile walk beginning at 10 a.m. at the Evergreen Lakehouse. Three miles is the average distance women in developing countries have to walk every day to get clean water. Through April 24: Submit your Breckenridge skiing and boarding video footage on the website by April 24. Must be less than 3 minutes. Then tell your friends and family to vote April 21-27.
