DENVER—The Colorado chapter of the Red Cross is sending at least five workers to help respond to natural disasters in North Dakota and the Southeast.
Two volunteers have gone to North Dakota, where flooding is a problem. Two Red Cross mental health workers went to North Carolina Tuesday and a public affairs worker will go there Wednesday to help with the aftermath of a series of deadly tornadoes.
More than 650 Red Cross disaster workers and 50 emergency response vehicles nationwide have been deployed this spring to parts of the country where floods, tornadoes and wildfires have left widespread damage.
