There are 184 students from Colorado on this year’s list of Daniels Scholars.
The list also includes 43 from New Mexico, 16 from Utah, and 24 from Wyoming, the Daniels Fund announced today in a news release.
In establishing the Daniels Scholarship program, cable pioneer Bill Daniels sought out promising students who demonstrate strength of character, leadership, and a record of accomplishment in giving back to the community, the release said.
The recipients get funding to attend the college or university of their choice. The scholarhship is not “full ride,” but is supplemental to all other financial resources available to the student.
