Attendees may find themselves on television, as well: KWGN/Channel 2 is covering the party at 6:45 a.m., 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Free.

From 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, this tea shop is hosting a reception with wedding coverage replayed on TV and, for $16, a full English tea buffet (sandwiches, sausage rolls, soup and salad). The restaurant will continue airing the televised ceremony through the following week.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, the afternoon tea ($26) features royal wedding-themed food, including Earl Grey tea, cream scones, cucumber sandwiches, shortbread and wedding cake. Reservations required.

From 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., today through Saturday, a special wedding tea menu (prices start at $4.75 for a crumpet) includes five types of finger sandwiches, scones and Devonshire cream, fruit, shortbread, Cadbury chocolate and individual wedding cakes, and a wedding souvenir to take home.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday “or later if people are having fun,” says event organizer Joyce Thomson, the restaurant will have three TVs airing recorded footage of the wedding and related events, and a menu featuring British food (bangers and mash, fish and chips, etc.), Newcastle Ale and other British beer, plus sherry and port. Attendees receive a free glass of champagne upon arrival.

On Friday, the wedding coverage will play all day on two flat-screen TVs in the Edge bar, which is serving a $15 full English breakfast including fried eggs, English bacon, bangers, grilled tomato and mushrooms (cold toast optional); the $12 English pub lunch or dinner includes fish (cod) and chips with malt vinegar and tartar sauce, bangers and mash, or shepherd’s pie.

Royals trivia quiz tonight and Wednesday during happy hour, plus all-day video of the ceremony through 10 p.m. Saturday.
On Friday, couples named William and Kate (identification required) get a $25 gift certificate and a tiara; and diners who resemble William (“tall, handsome, slightly balding”) or Kate (“green eyes, long hair, regal yet unpretentious”) can enter a Royals look-alike competition. On Friday, each entree comes with a free wedding cupcake.
